Participants were placed in an fMRI machine, where they saw abstract shapes that \u201cwobbled\u201d on a screen. The wobbling was controlled by their brain activity. When their brain activity matched a specific pattern, the wobbling stopped. This feedback helped guide their brain toward learning something new without them even realizing it.<\/p>\n
The result? Participants learned to recognize new patterns without consciously trying. It\u2019s like gaining a new skill without any effort.<\/p>\n
This could have big impacts for healthcare. Imagine using this technology to speed up recovery for stroke patients, help people with learning challenges, or even improve treatments for mental health conditions. The potential for improving brain health is huge.<\/p>\n
